PS Plus Games For July Are Available Now — Here Are This Month’s Free Titles

We’re already a full week into July and that means you can now download this month’s free PlayStation Plus titles on your PS4 or PS5.

The free games this month are all extremely different from one another. Sony is offering three free games, though one of June’s titles remains free throughout the month also.

The free July PS+ games are:

  • Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown
  • Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5 version only)
  • WWE2K Battlegrounds

This means you basically get two fighting games, one multiplayer shooter and—if you have a PS5—a cool adventure game about Medieval France, the Inquisition and a mysterious rat plague.

Of these, WWE2K Battlegrounds gets by far the worst reviews, but even if it is a stinker, the other games are top-notch. It’s yet another good month to be a PS Plus subscriber.

Black Ops 4 includes traditional multiplayer, the popular Zombies mode and the excellent Blackout battle royale game that really should have been a free-to-play spinoff. It makes me really wish that Cold War had its own Blackout battle royale instead of trying to integrate into Warzone.

The only downside of Black Ops 4 compared to Modern Warfare and Cold War? It doesn’t have cross-play. You’ll need to play the game with other PS4/PS5 players unfortunately. The game came out before Fortnite started the cross-play revolution and changed gaming—for the better—forever.
