Casio is journeying into the metaverse by introducing a virtual version of its iconic G-SHOCK watch on Polygon. The partnership will kick off with the launch of an NFT collection that includes access passes. Casio plans to distribute an initial batch of 15,000 G-SHOCK creator pass NFTs starting from September 23, targeting participants in the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK community.
NFT holders will gain exclusive access to a dedicated Discord channel for the G-SHOCK NFT community, helping bridge the digital and physical communities for an immersive experience.
Casio is planning for widespread distribution of the NFT collection, covering countries like Japan, USA, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, UK, Portugal, Australia, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
