After a successful funding round organized by Upload Ventures, the game monetization platform Tipspace has launched in Brazil. Tipspace is dedicated to providing players the opportunity to play for money by wagering in their games, allowing them to “bet” and win monetary prizes based on their performance. Tipspace, not classified as a betting platform, aims to expand internationally by the end of 2022 while garnering over 500,000 users throughout Latin America. Players will need to pay to enter matchmaking in order to have access to a cash prize at the end of their match.
Upload Ventures Co-founder and Manager, Rodrigo Baer, commented on the investment: “Tipspace is doing something that no company in the world has been able to do. What attracted us was the knowledge of the team, the potential of the business and the way in which they promote the entire sector.”
