The RGB x Betty Boop collection from Fred Segal was created to bring the beloved cartoon icon to a broader audience and a new range of global communities. The limited-edition line, which comprises T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and sweatpants, has been available through the Los Angeles-based lifestyle retailer Fred Segal since December. Joyner desired to retain Betty Boop’s recognizable look while making it universally wearable, as he regarded the figure as a “symbol of empowerment, confidence, and self-expression.”
The collection aims to promote equity, unity, and inclusion by partnering with diverse brands. To celebrate the launch, Fleischer Studios is introducing the ‘Betty of the People’ initiative to bolster Betty Boop’s reputation and celebrate acceptance, love, respect, and more.
